BUSTLE: Runway (7:00 PM)
Contact: Amanda Connell (amanda@bustleclothing.com) 416.703.2745
- This season, Bustle draws inspiration from the Calgary Stampede, specifically this year's Stampede Centennial. Not surprisingly, fall 2012 is heavier than ever on denim and leather fabrics, which materialize in a variety of pieces and washes, alongside Bustle's luxe corduroys and wools. While the Bustle Stampede collection is clearly inspired by Western heritage, the colours, fabrics and pieces themselves are current, urban and wearable; they are also unmistakeably Bustle.
Celebrities/notable guests expected: Kreesha Turner, Tara Spencer-Nairn, Paul Alexander, Wilder Weir
MÉLISSA NEPTON: Runway (8:00 PM)
Contact: Caroline Dubé, LUXINE Public Relations (caroline@luxine.ca) 514.239.3956
- Renowned and acknowledged for her accessible sophistication, her study in movement and her signature sense of fluidity, Mélissa Nepton’s designs forever cast an aura of mysterious sensuality. This season, the ethereal nomad makes her way under the cold blue moon of winter, bundled up in subtle silk dresses, woven neck tunics and wrapping coats upon which textures, fibres and natural threads help create a web of human warmth.
Celebrity/notable guests expected: Kreesha Turner, Alicia Josipovic, Bree Wasylenko (So You Think You Can Dance Canada), Mike Bradwell, Tristan Black (Toronto Argonauts)
JOE FRESH®: Runway (9:00 PM)
Contact: Alexander Thomson (alexander.thomson@loblaw.ca)
- This season’s runway collection features key trends and silhouettes from the Joe Fresh fall/winter collection, including rich colour, luxurious texture and bold pattern. Deep reds, royal blues and rich mustards are prominently featured on sophisticated tweeds, lush silks and soft leathers which are offset by bold uses of chevron and houndstooth patterns. Colour blocking, peplums, long skirts and cropped jackets fuel the refined ‘60s vibe of the collection.
